Grey Bruce OPP say they will not be releasing the name of the 24 year old Vaughan man they searched for in the water at the Grotto in Bruce Peninsula National Park.
Police say he was located deceased, Sunday (July 7th) at 3:05 p.m. by the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit in about 20 feet of water.
Police say just after 4 Saturday afternoon, (July 6th) they were called for a man in distress in the water.
Police say the man jumped into the water with a friend and after initially surfacing, immediately showed signs of distress, went under again and failed to resurface.
Grey Bruce OPP were assisted during the search by Canadian Coast Guard, Bruce Peninsula National Park, OPP Marine Unit and their Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.
The park was closed while the search was conducted.
