Human remains found near Big Island First Nation

Police are investigating human remains found earlier this week near Big Island First Nation.

Ontario Provincial Police say they are working with Ontario Forensic Pathology Services and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario to identify the remains.

No other information about the remains was provided by police, in a release issued on Friday evening.Big Island First Nation, also known as Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing, is located about 60 kilometres northwest of Emo, Ont., on Highway 621.
