The RCMP is pleased to confirm that the 16-year-old female reported missing was located safe & sound. Port Alberni RCMP would like to thank those that assisted with the investigation.
On May 9, 2019 Lasheena Seward was reported missing from group home in Port Alberni. Lasheena Seward was last seen on Sunday May 5 at a group home and was supposed to see her sister in Nanaimo but never showed up.
The last contact with Lasheena Seward was on May 7th by Facebook in which stated Seward she was with a friend and would be back on the 8th. Family of Lasheena Seward have stated she may be in the Nanaimo or Victoria area however there has been no confirmed contact with her to date.
Lasheena Seward is 16-years-old Indigenous female with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes.
She is considered at high risk as a missing person due to the duration of her absence, age and undetermined resources for her support.
