A missing Kelowna woman has been found dead, RCMP confirm.
Cassandra Miller’s body was found Friday night, police say, while officers were conducting follow up on her active missing person’s investigation.
The BC Coroners Service was called to the scene in Rutland to assist investigators.
Miller, 28, was last seen Nov. 6 and was reported to police as missing on Nov. 9.
Police followed up on numerous tips from the public and possible sightings before the tragic discovery.
“As a result of the investigation to date, RCMP do not believe that criminality was involved in Cassandra’s death,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “As such, the BC Coroners Service have now taken the lead on the investigation into Cassandra’s sudden death.
