His remains were found near Lakeshore Line east of Port Burwell on May 6. At the time, the London Free Press reported that the remains were found in a freezer in an area that has been a popular spot for parties. Not long after the discovery, police announced that a charge of committing an indignity to a human body had been laid against Samuel Waters, 22, of Norfolk County.

On Monday, police announced that Chad Reu-Waters, 45, of Norfolk County is charged with first degree murder and committing an indignity to a human body.

“….the OPP wish to thank members of the community and the media for their patience and for their assistance in this investigation,” police said in a news release issued Monday. “The substantial passage of time between the disappearance of the deceased and the discovery of human remains presented investigators with significant investigative challenges.”

Police are still investigating. They are asking anyone with information to call 1-888-310-1122.
