RCMP are investigating the disappearance of Tiki Laverdiere as a homicide after determining her disappearance is a result of foul play.
Laverdiere was last seen in North Battleford and last made contact with her family on May 1.
The 25-year-old Edmonton woman was in North Battleford at the end of April for a few days to attend a funeral on the Thunderchild First Nation with a friend.
RCMP said Tiki expressed a desire to return to Edmonton after the funeral. A post on her Facebook page on April 30 showed she was looking for a ride to the Alberta capital from North Battleford.
Over the last several days, the RCMP have executed search warrants at a number of homes in the city and are now reviewing the information gathered, they said in a media release.
The investigation remains ongoing and police continue to follow up on information and tips provided by the public.
