Police have resumed the search for a missing woman on Sparrow Lake near Gravenhurst, Ontario.
Constable Martin Hache of OPP Central Region confirmed that the search for the woman, believed to be in her 50s was suspended last night due to darkness.
“The Underwater Search and Recovery Unit is back on the water as of this morning,” he confirmed.
The woman was swimming with her friends and family from a boat when she failed to resurface.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon before 6:00pm.
Sparrow Lake is approximately 28 kilometres south of Gravenhurst west of Highway 11.
