Two charged in connection with London, Ontario kidnapping.

On Sunday, July 21, 2019, at approximately 6:40am, police and EMS responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian struck at Wellington Street and Horton Street.  Upon arrival, an injured adult male victim was located. He was transported to hospital, treated for his injuries and released.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the victim had been forced into a vehicle at another location in the City of London. The victim fled the vehicle while it was stopped at Wellington Street and Horton Street at which time a female exited the vehicle and pursued him on foot.  The male driver pursued the victim in the vehicle, and struck him.  The driver and female fled in the vehicle which was later recovered abandoned in the area of Beechwood Place. 

Kenneth Rowe, 25, of London, and Josafina Maloney, 23, of London, have each been charged with one count of Kidnapping.

Rowe has also been charged with one count each of Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Bodily Harm, and Fail to Stop Conveyance at Accident Causing Bodily Harm.

Rowe and Maloney were arrested for an unrelated matter in the evening of Sunday, July 21, 2019.  Both are scheduled to appear in court today.
