WARRANT ISSUED FOR SUSPECT IN ARMED KIDNAPPING IN MARKHAM



UPDATE – ARMED KIDNAPPING IN MARKHAM – Abdullahi ADAN, 37yrs from Toronto who was wanted in this ongoing investigation, turned himself in overnight. He has been charged and will be appearing in the Newmarket courthouse located at 50 Eagle Street this morning for a bail hearing.

York Regional Police have identified one of four suspects who are wanted in the armed kidnapping of Wanzhen Lu of Markham

Lu was allegedly kidnapped from his condo’s parking garage last Saturday by men armed with tasers.

He resurfaced in Gravenhurst, walking up to a home on Doe Lake Road after being released from his captors last Tuesday with minor injuries and has since been reunited with his family.

Police say the suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous.

They have issued a release about one of the suspects, 37 yr old Abdullahi Adan of Toronto, who they say is wanted for assault, kidnapping, assault with a weapon and forcible confinement.

Three others are not being identified, but they are described as 1) a male wearing a mask and blue pants and black jacket. Another suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, standing around six-foot one inch who wore a black Canada Goose jacket.

Police say the final suspect wore a green and yellow jacket with a hood.
