Elderly male to identify – found wandering in the Ratan Court and Uplands Drive in Ottawa

UPDATE:

Ottawa police have reunited a man who was found wandering near the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club with his family.

He was not carrying identification and is unable to communicate, police said in a news release issued Thursday.

Friday morning, they said they had figured out who he is and got him back to his family.

The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance to identify an elderly male who was located by a local resident wandering in the area of Ratan Court and Uplands Drive yesterday, at approx. 6:00pm. He has no identification on him and is not able to communicate. 

The male is described as a Caucasian male in his late 70’s, 5’7” (170cm) tall, weighing approximately 150lbs (68kgs). He has brown eyes, white hair and is balding. He has what appears to be an old injury around his left eye. 

When located, he was wearing a white t shirt, grey shorts, a red Asics hat, grey and red Adidas socks and Birkenstock sandals. He was also carrying a drill with him. 

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this male is asked to call the Ottawa Police Service East Criminal Investigations Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 3566.
